**Whispering Pines - A Nature Lover’s Paradise**
Discover the charm of Whispering Pines, a delightful log cabin nestled in beautiful Townsend, TN. Built in 1999, this authentic cabin has been thoughtfully updated with new, modern appliances and amenities. Redesigned in August 2024, it now features fresh furniture, bedding, and a host of upgrades tailored to enhance your stay.
Located within the serene Timberwinds Resort, Whispering Pines is easily accessible via winding, wooded yet concrete roads, making it a safe and convenient retreat for motorcyclists and all vehicles. There are no steep inclines to navigate, and the cabin offers parking for two vehicles, comfortably accommodating up to 5 guests.
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a spacious deck at the back of the cabin, offering a picturesque view of a hollow adorned with wildflowers. Occasionally, a bear might make an appearance, adding to the cabin's rustic allure. The deck features an outdoor dining area and a screened, covered porch with a large hot tub. For outdoor meals, a charcoal BBQ grill is also provided.
The cabin’s open-concept floor plan boasts a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the necessary pots and pans. The living room invites relaxation with a comfy sofa, two easy chairs, a flat-screen TV, and a gas fireplace. The downstairs master bedroom features a grand 4-poster log king-sized bed, a dresser, and an ensuite full bathroom. Please note, that the master bedroom is open to the living area.
Upstairs, the loft area is a perfect retreat for teenagers and pre-teens, featuring a full-size bed, a twin-size bed, bean bag chairs, mood lighting, board games, a retro game system, and a PlayStation. There is also a second full bathroom with a walk-in shower located on the first floor. (Please be aware that the stairs to the loft are quite narrow.)
Whispering Pines offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, making it a true paradise for nature lovers and a memorable getaway for all.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY checkins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.

*$50 cancellation fee
*Before 30 days - you will get all of your money back (-$50)
*Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, this is the amount that we will refund back (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 night+tax+cleaning fee

We loved the cabin. It was just the right size for the two of us to celebrate our 34th Wedding Anniversary. The location was great, quiet and friendly neighbors 😀. This is 1st the time we rented from Smoky Cabins, but definitely will rent from them again. Thanks again for letting us stay in this beautiful cabin. -

Very nice cabin. Cell phone reception is very spotty (Verizon) and would suggest you print out the directions prior to arrival as we were not able to access our email. After locating our cabin, it was very clean and had plenty of starter supplies. The cabin is very close to everything in the Townsend area. We were not disappointed with our choice of management and property owners. Will surely be returning. -

An absolutely awesome cabin. We reserved this cabin after my daughter's picture won the photo contest last year. It was clean and quiet with a very nice view of the woods from the deck The hot tub hit the spot after some good hikes. I will say they aren't kidding when they say the stairs to the loft are steep and narrow! The location is close enough we made a quick run to Pizza Hut for some cinnamon sticks to take care of late evening craving. -

We really enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines cabin. It is easy to get too, plus it’s tucked away! The cabin is well equipped. The cabin was very clean and felt just like we were at home. This is our second time renting from Smoky Cabins and both experiences were wonderful! We will definitely rent from Smoky Cabins again and recommend other people do the same! -

We had a nice relaxing stay here. The cabin was very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was so nice and cozy after a long day out exploring. Enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the large deck. Saw a bear our last night down in the hollow. Was an amazing experience! Just booked another cabin for next year and we cannot wait! -

We loved Townsend! Peaceful indeed the cabin was great everything we wanted and more! The only downside was we underestimated the size of the stairs but that minor compared to the great time and relaxation we had!Management Response: Yes the steps getting up to the loft is narrow. It would be hard for a larger person to go up them. Thank you for leaving your thoughts!! -

Overall, the cabin was wonderful. Washer and dryer, two beds, nice kitchen, two bathrooms, larger tv and awesome fireplace! This cabin is not "up mountain" so not as difficult to get to, but that means you don't get that awesome of a view. Close to Townsend, accessible to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the State Park made it an easy drive to get to places, but far enough out to enjoy being 'remote'. Overall, definitely made a great anniversary get away! -

Absolutely loved this cabin! Super clean ! It was exactly how it looked in the pictures, beautiful! It was close to other cabins but with all the trees it felt secluded. It was so nice to drive back to this quiet cabin after dealing with traffic and crowds. The staff with Smoky Cabins are excellent to deal with. Starting with Cathy who helped me book the cabin & other staff members I talked with over the phone. We will book again with Smoky Cabins because of their excellent service. Thank you!! -

We had a great stay. The cabin had more than enough space for the two of us and everything was in perfect condition and as pictured. We loved hanging out on the spacious deck-the neighborhood is very peaceful, quiet, and well-kept. Wonderful location close to the park, shopping, and restaurants. Management was very easy to work with and we would definitely consider this cabin and Smoky Cabins the next time we return to Townsend. -
