  This home is in a great location with an excellent view. The floorplan was perfect for more than one family. Access to Serendipity is very easy and there is plenty of space for parking.

  Serendipity is a beautiful cabin. The location is so accessible it is hard to believe you are getting away. Yet, sitting on the deck overlooking the mountains, there is no doubt you are on retreat. The furnishings and linens were of high quality and the open floor plans combined with the several separate living spaces provided the perfect space for community and solitude. I give this cabin 4 stars due to unresolved maintenance issues.

  Management Response: Thank you for letting us know about the leaking toilet. We have it on our maintenance list to be fixed.

  We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin during our four-day cycling vacation. Everything was in excellent working order, the cabin was very clean, all one could expect.

  Cabin was comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms and kitchen were acceptably clean. Bed sheets were thin, pillows were stained and worn. Window blinds had a thick coating of dust. Some carpets were stained. French doors did not work properly. Instructions in the binder for locating trash disposal site conflicted with the area map behind the entrance gate so we had to take our trash out of the complex, which was unacceptable.

  Management Response: I am sorry that you were not able to give us a 5 star rating on this beautiful property. We have cleaned the blinds but did note that at this time of year, pollen seems to get in every crack in our mountain homes as we are surrounded by trees. Our sheets are microfiber but all just a few months old and in excellent condition. There are multiple dump sites in the community. The directions in the cabin are for the one closest to your cabin. There was no need to carry your trash out of the community as you could have used either dump site. The french doors are being repaired.

  Even though the weather did not cooperate we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Serendipity. The cabin is spacious and has wonderful views of the mountains. The cabin is well supplied and very comfortable. We are already planning next year’s visit.

  The cabin was beautiful and so was the view. The beds maybe weren’t so comfortable, but I have found that at most cabins. I liked that Smoky Cabins emailed directions and the key code instead of having to go check in. There was a little problem with pool access, but it was not really Smoky Cabins fault. I would definitely recommend this cabin and company again.

  We traveled from Ohio to visit our friend who recently moved here. What a great weekend we had! This was the cleanest and most accommodating place I've ever stayed. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room for all of us, and complete with everything we needed. The beds are very comfy and the morning view from the deck is breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

  What a great cabin! Very comfortable with lots of living space. Definitely large enough for 2 families. The views are so nice and the house is on a secluded road/drive that was perfect for my children to play ball and ride bikes. We love Townsend and will likely book this cabin again in the future!

  Another good year in the Smokies at Serendipity. The cabin is an ideal place for 3 generations to enjoy time together and have plenty of room. The management was great to get us what we needed in a very timely manner. We plan to return next year and will have 4 generations!

  Serendipity is spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating for the number of guests. There are bears, and they know how to open car doors. So be warned, if you get something out of your car in the morning, be sure to lock the doors again. If you leave them unlocked you may have to clean up bear slobber and dirty bear prints from the seats. Really.

  This cabin was the most comfortable and accommodating we have ever rented.The beds were extremely comfortable. The furniture was too. We had 3 couples and 3 children and there was plenty of sleeping accommodations. There is actually 2 full baths and a half-bath. Nice TV cable. The view is spectacular. The decks and screened room are very nice. The kitchen is nice size with large island, and nice dishes and amply supplied. We all love the strong water pressure in the showers! We had thought the pool was available but owner does not subscribe to it. However, owner told us about a nice public pool within 10 easy driving miles, Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli, $5 per person all day and has a nice deli and friendly workers. Had couple questions for owner, they responded very quickly. We would definitely love to rent this cabin again. Recommend 100%

  Serendipity is a beautiful cabin! This was our second time staying there. Plenty of room for all 6 of us and a beautiful view. Check in and out is extremely easy with Smoky Cabins.

  The cabin was in a beautiful location. Townsend was near some of the attractions we wanted to explore, such as the caverns, tubing, and Cades Cove. It was spacious, with a nice floorplan, allowing privacy with 3 bedrooms and 3 levels. We liked the amenities that the cabin had to offer: the grill, patio, full-sized washer and dryer, community pool, and golfing. The outdoor living space was relaxing with an awe-inspiring view of the surrounding mountains. Furniture was comfortable and ample. TVs were nicely placed. I liked that we could leave the window coverings open, to feel immersed in nature, without seeing any neighbors. The kitchen was fully equipped, and complete with salt and pepper. Tons of blankets, ceiling fans and lighting, to make us feel cozy. The temperature on the main level took quite a while to cool down, as that A/C unit had to also cool the loft. However, the bottom level stayed very cool. I would definitely stay at Serendipity again; it felt like home.

  Beautiful cabin. Perfect for 3 couples. So roomy. Hope to stay there again next year! Would love to know where the mirror just inside the front door was purchased. I would like to have one. The whole rental process from start to finish is perfect.

  We were totally excited when we walked in. The Christmas decorations, so lovely. The kitchen is the nicest of any of the cabins we've rented in Laurel Valley. Everything was clean and fresh! There's enough space for everyone to enjoy! Sunrise on the deck was gorgeous! This cabin will be our go to from now on.

  We loved the cabin. It was even nicer than the pictures showed it to be.. There were 2 adults and 4 children there for 3 nights and there was plenty of spaces for everyone to be, both for sleeping and active daytime activities. An added surprise was a black bear looking in the window of our front door one evening!

  The kids love this cabin. This is our second year in a row. It is clean and well equipped with linens, pillows, games, etc. Great location, too! We would highly recommend Davy Crockett Riding stables, tubing, Tuskalechee Caverns, Cade’s Cove, and hiking.

  Was a great place to stay and was easily accessible to places in Townsend. Had a beautiful view. Be sure to take the first left at the first house on the left once you are on Tolliver. Everything was available for use and had all you needed. Cathy was so responsive.

  Very nice clean and roomy cabin with a very pretty view of the mountains. Cabin also had great water pressure when taking showers. I would recommend this cabin and I would book this cabin again.

  We love this cabin! We have stayed 3 times in the last year and definitely plan to come back! Everything is absolutely perfect and it works great for our family! Our parents are both 90 and it's very easy for them to get around on the main level. My brother and I stay in the 2 bedrooms downstairs and my sister stays in the loft!

  Loved location. Loved porch. Beds very comfortable and cabin very clean. Had a wonderful view. Plenty of supplies furnished. Great supply of dishes and good pots and pans. The info online is misleading. It indicates 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It leads one to believe that each bedroom has a bath. It states 3 living spaces. It has main floor with 1.5 baths. Downstairs bed and bath. Loft has beds and no bath. Unfortunately we 3 ladies were in our 70’s. Wanted own bath. Had to move from loft to downstairs and share bath.
