  Overall we loved the cabin. The site was directly on the river.There was a nice deck with large hot tub.Inside, the kitchen was very nice. The main floor bedroom was relatively small but nice, and the bathroom was relatively large and nice.We really enjoyed the den and the wood burning fireplace.Also, Wi-Fi was very good.We would gladly stay here again, and would recommend it to friends.

  Beautiful cabin! Downside was that the fireplace hadn’t been cleaned out. So we had to clean it out before using. Also the hot top want full. It only had water to less than the half way point. So we had to fill her up and wait for her to warm up. Outside of that it’s a gorgeous cabin, lovely views. Very relaxing!

  I visit the smokies often with my family, and I wanted to bring my friends this year. This cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. It was very clean, and the hot tub was ready whe we arrived. We really enjoyed sitting out by the river on a sunny day. The cabin is in a great location, just a few minutes from the grocery store in Townsend; and about a 30 minute drive from the National Park and Cade’s Cove. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will be back!!

  The cabin was clean, well kept. The location was very nice , especially sitting on the deck listening to the river in the evening. My wife and I have been using your rentals for many years. This was by far the nicest one of all with Pioneer point a close second. Thanks you and see you in June@ the Lodge.

  Very quiet, out of the way location on the river's edge provided relaxing atmosphere. The sound of the rushing water was very peaceful. Clean, and well cared for cabin, with all the amenities needed. We would stay here again.

  Wonderful week at this great cabin! Close enough to the parks and sights and just far enough away from everything as well. Was peaceful and relaxing being on the river. The cabin is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Lovely eating dinner out on the deck in the eveings listening to the river! We can't wait to go back!

  We had a peaceful stay. The first night the rain on the tin roof sounded so inviting. We attended our 40th college reunion at Maryville College. Eat at the Black Bear Cafe! Really nice cabin.

  River Escape is a perfect getaway. It is so peaceful. We were not there at a good time to fish but we had fun trying. I love sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee with day breaking, river flowing, and birds chirping. We hit the peak leaf changing and it was beautiful beyond description. It was an awesome getaway for us. Would love to stay there again in the cabin.

  Wow! What a beautiful cabin, inside & out! We were so excited upon arrival, seeing the cabin & the creek, we were squealing with joy & delight, the neighbors thought there was something wrong lol! We so enjoyed the view from the back porch, the decor & accommodations & my grandson loved the hot tub! We would recommend EVERYONE to stay in this fabulous cabin. So close to Cade's Cove & Gatlinburg. We plan on coming back in the Spring & November 2019! Thank you for allowing us to share your home! See you soon ☺️

  We were so pleased with our stay in the River Escape cabin! It was the perfect size for our family of 4. It felt just like being at home! My husband and our boys enjoyed the hot tub and I loved sitting next to the fire at night to relax! The location was perfect to get to Gatlinburg and other area sights! We definitely hope to be back again and have already recommended it to our family and friends!

Our son, who is high functioning autism, always has trouble when we go away from home, but for the last 4 years when we have stayed in your cabins he comes to us and says “ I don’t want to go home, let’s just stay here!” Thank you for that.

  We loved staying at this cabin! It was a nice retreat to come back to after the football game and after exploring the area. The cabin is very nicely decorated and is equipped with most everything you need except food!!! It was relaxing to sit on the back deck, sip on a glass of wine and watch the river-which is right in your backyard!! It’s a two bedroom, two bath cabin, but the upstairs bedroom appears to have a double bed, which would make it difficult to have two couples there! Otherwise, it is perfect!!

  Loved it! Charming cabin in a good location plus right on the river. We liked: Keyless entry, Kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware, ice cubes made for us, 2 stand up showers, good linens, furnished porch and the cabin beautifully furnished and decorated. It was a treat to return to every day.

  Having stayed in at least a dozen cabins in the area and being used to the beautiful mountain views we usually have we were blown away by this cabin on the river! It has absolutely everything you could possibly need including cleanliness and cookware and it is so easy to get to and from for adventures to the Natl. Park and local tourist attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will gladly come back to this cabin in the future for more of the serene and calming peacefulness that the river and it's sounds deliver. The hot tub worked fantastic and the wood fireplace was fully stocked for the week we spent. Such a beautiful decompressing vacation we had and it actually made us sad to have to leave. Cudo's to the owner that shares this gem with us and to Cathy and Keith for managing it so awesomely!!!!

  We loved the cabin and location... we felt at home in this cozy cabin. It was decorated for Christmas all we had to do is hang our stockings, we had a bonfire near the river and just relaxed. We plan to come back.

  What can we say? Was so perfect. The reservation, communication, and paidments were really easy. The cabin is easy to find. We bring a 4x4 but, not need it. Nice river view from the porch, and kitchen window. Enough space for four persons. Not too big, not too small, just perfect. We found in the kitchen all the necessary. We really enjoyed. We recommend it. We have in plans to come back soon! Thanks!

  We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. We have rented many cabins in the Smokeys, but this is the first time we stayed by the river, and we really enjoyed it. The cabin was easy to get to and was close to the main town. I would like to come back in the warmer weather and utilize the outside, but the snow falling was really beautiful. We bundled up and had our coffee on the deck and watched the snow fall!!

  We enjoyed our stay at River Escape. We love staying on the Little River. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We love the easy access to Townsend for the grocery store and walking paths. I enjoy walking every day and the walking paths have beautiful views of the river and the mountains.

  Cabin was clean and very nice. But the parking was not.. We had two trucks and two motorcycle trailers. Was very difficult on parking and uploading the bikes. Even if we had just one truck and trailer, this would not be a cabin to rent. But it was very nice and clean.. Very beautiful location..

  We stayed with a group of 4 adults. Great cabin, wonderful location, no inclines to drive to get to it. Only 4 stars because the second bedroom is underwhelming compared to the main bedroom. The second bedroom is good for 1 adult or some children, but not a couple. Other then that we had a pleasant vacation.

  The cabin itself is super cute and cozy. It's located directly on the river which is beautiful and the sound of the river is very calming. Its not very private as there are dozens of cabins along side both sides and very close. The power was out upon our arrival so we needed up getting a hotel for the first night and had to use space heater the second night bc there was problems with the heating unit due to a big storm that had just occurred. The owner personally came and delivered space heaters and said she would make sure we were refunded for those two nights. She was very accommodating and polite. All in all a good stay.

  This was probably the best cabin experience we have had - and we do cabin weekends often. The proximity to the river was our favorite part of the weekend! We built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the beautiful (although cold!) day by the river! We will be back!

  Wonderful stay. River Escape is on a beautiful spot on the river. The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. A strong wifi signal and great cable service was helpful. Having a washer and dryer was a bonus. The fall decorations are a great addition to make the cabin feel homey. The reservation, check in and check out process were so easy! We can't wait to book again for future stays!

  We absolutely enjoyed our stay in your cabin. We found it to be exceptionally clean and very cozy with enjoying the wood burning fire place. We spent most of our time at the cabin enjoying an outdoor fire near the creek and just relaxing to the rushing creek waters. The cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed. The King size bed is very comfortable and we found it to be a very peaceful setting during the night. We will be back in the future. It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg which we have visited over 40 years. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for all of us to get away and enjoy. The location is very easy to get to as well as getting everything we needed from Townsend. Thank You Steve & Laura

  My wife and I are both in the medical field. What we have seen and dealt with since March 2020 to the present day has taken a toll on us emotionally and physically. This trip to River Escape is our first vacation to the mountains since March 2020. We used to travel quarterly to Townsend for its beauty and peace. Thank you for a renewal of tranquility, spiritual grounding, and joy in nature as well as in each other. The cabin is well equipped, designed, and artfully decorated. Everything from our arrival to our departure was to enhance our ability to relax and find peace. The beauty of it snowing upon our first day and the magic of a freshly fallen snow. The relaxation of a crackling fire and sinking back in a hot tub. The joy of fly fishing in Little River, a "stones throw" from the cabin. The sound of the river and birds lulling us into a meditative state. What a wonderful way to end our year. What a blessing to be able to be rested and "grounded" for the new year ahead.   I have been coming down to the Smokies for many years now & this by far has been the best cabin I have stayed at. I like to stay in Townsend due to the close proximity to Cades Cove. Loved that the road was level ( no climbing up mountain sides.) Best feature by far is the river. Enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to it. Hot tub was relaxing. Shower pressure great, removable shower head great feature. Used washer & dryer, worked great. King bed downstairs was comfy. Coffee maker worked great. Liked the automatic ice maker. Fridge & freezer kept everything nice & cold. Was clean upon arrival. Enjoyed our stay immensely! Will definitely return to River Escape next spring!

  River Escape moved to our #1 cabin choice in TN! We have always preferred a mountain view, but this cabin was everything we wanted and more without that view! From a creek flowing out the back deck, a huge hot tub, cold AC, plenty of room for four adults, the cleanest cabin we've ever visited, cute Fall decor, comfy beds, a five minute drive to anything in Townsend and so much more! We will, without a doubt, be visiting this cabin again!! A+ Smoky Cabins! Note for future visitors: If you need to utilize both bathrooms and everyone in your party are tall, plan to share the downstairs one. The upstairs one is accommodating for smaller/shorter people, but not us tall ones. Definitely not a negative nor a deal breaker. Just a good heads up!

  Peaceful and relaxing location right on the river. We could not ask for anything better. Hot tub at night and river during the day. Close to so many great places to eat in Townsend. We are looking forward to coming back to River Escape in the not too distant future. Perfect for a family of four or five or for a romantic getaway or even a couples vacation. Bedrooms are on two different floors, so there is plenty of privacy.
