  5 stars....we have stayed at Bear View 3 times and have always enjoyed it. I have used other rental companies for our stays in Townsend in the past and have found Smoky Cabins to provide the best customer service.

  We got engaged in this cabin! The cabin was set up very nicely and the WiFi was amazing. It was a wonderful experience, everyone was nice! Townsend is an absolute gorgeous place to be in. I believe it gave me the full GSM experience more than Gatlinburg! The caverns behind the mountain are a must see! We will use Smoky Cabins again! THANK YOU!!

  It's a nice little cabin and was clean and comfortable for the most part. Kitchen was well stocked, fire place is nice, TV and internet was good, the grill works great, the bed is very comfortable. Nice place for 2 people.

  The cabin was great! Comfortable with a gas fireplace Xfinity cable full kitchen nice comfortable bed! The last turn to the cabin is a little tough if you don't have any experience driving in the mountains. Just take it wide and you will get up no problem. It's only 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. And only a few minutes from an entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Forest. We stayed here for our honeymoon my only complaint is that it wasn't longer! If you like Cajun food go to New Orleans Sandwich Company in Gatlinburg you will not be disappointed!

  Overall, the cabin was a nice place to stay. My only issue was the bed - time to be replaced, huge "ruts" on both sides.

  We had a wonderful time in this incredibly cozy cabin! It was the perfect size for just the two of us. We loved the gas fireplace and the hot tub. Everything was decorated for Christmas which added to the ambiance. We are already planning our trip for next year!

  Beautiful place to stay! My husband and I spent a long weekend in this cabin and truly enjoyed our stay. As a few others have mentioned, we did struggle to get up the hill in our small suv (good tires, but not 4 wheel drive). If you stick to the left it seems to help avoid the spot in the road that has eroded some. This would NOT deter us from coming back. This place is fully equiped and well kept. We will be coming back!

  The cabin was fantastic. We enjoyed the very nice porch that looks out through the trees. The bed was very comfortable, and the fireplace was a great way to shake off the early morning chill. Our complements to you for stocking the kitchen with sufficient plates, glasses, and cookware to really be able to cook meals in the cabin. We had a great stay and look forward to coming back.

  Nice little cabin that is positioned far enough away from other cabins that you really don’t realize they are there, at least with foliage on the trees. May be a bit more obvious in the winter months. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook and there is a decent grocery store (IGA) nearby. The grill and hot tub work fine as does everything else in the cabin. The bathroom is clean and maintained and the bed is comfortable. High speed internet and cable TV are nice. The location is a perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. 10 min to the park, 25 min to Cades Cove, 30 min to Gatlinburg then 20 min to Maryville in the other direction. There are a few decent places to eat in Townsend but be advised at after 8 pm the options are slim and Maryville is the closest place with a decent selection. The hill to the cabin can be intimidating if you don’t have experience but it should be doable unless you are driving a Ferrari (or any low car). (We watched a big Propane delivery truck make it up and down.) There is a security camera on the front of the cabin and several other cameras in the complex so we didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving a couple very expensive bikes out on the porch for 5 days. The decor was ok but a bit cluttered for our taste. Would have been nice to have the space on the microwave stand for our food supply rather than a bunch of decorations. Only place for dry food is on the small counter. A couple very minor maintenance items but nothing to complain about. Overall we would probably stay in this cabin again.

  Loved everything about this charming cabin. Beautiful decor and far better stocked with quality cookware/dinnerware than other cabins we have stayed in. Loved the woodsy and isolated feel even though we were in a resort and drove by lots of other cabins. Even had a bear come visit on our first night. Would definitely recommend this cabin and Smoky Cabin rentals to all.

  We stayed in the same cabin 5 years ago for our 5th Anniversary and loved it so much we returned for our 10th. The cabin is clean and kept, though it may be time for a few paint touch ups in the bathroom. The quarters are nice and well kept and comfortable for a romantic getaway. The porch offers plenty of privacy for the hot tub and a great porch swing view of the scenery.

  Wonderful cabin for our Honeymoon. So comfortable staying there. Love the fireplace during the cool season. View was nice and relaxing. The hot tub is wonderful but not so private when a road can be seen and cabin below. The drive up is very steep but got used to it as the days goes by.

  Cabin was cozy & quiet. Well stocked and very cleanly. A couple things like the decorative lights and the dishwasher did not work but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. We notified the owner so hopefully they fix it. The roads leading up to the cabin were a little scary imo(I’m scared of heights). My boyfriend thought it was fun though haha. Once you do it a couple times, he got the hang of it. He was even able to back into the spot so we didn’t have to reverse down the steep hill. Short drive to town was nice in case we needed anything. Sitting in that hot tub with those views were a great way to end the day. 😍 perfect little cabin for a couple’s getaway!

  Management Response: The dishwasher has to be turned on before you close the door. Just hit start and close it and it comes on just fine. We went and checked it as soon as we received the email about it and it ran the cycle with no problem. The outside lights must be plugged in to the wall. The are actually just a couple weeks old. We do appreciate your feedback and are glad that you enjoyed the cabin.

  Great little cabin for two! We went for our 10 year anniversary, and it was perfect! The drive to the cabin is not for the faint of heart especially for those of us who don’t live in the mountains, but the cabin itself was awesome. Very quiet and private. We would definitely stay again or recommend for a couple’s vacation!

  Everything was perfect! Enjoyed the hot tub and porch swing overlooking the mountains and woods put of sight from other cabins with full foliage. Kitchen utensils were well stocked. Nice bathroom, bed, and decor. Comfy seating in the living area. The resort was very peaceful. The cabin was exceptionally clean. We can't wait to come back!

  The cabin was amazing! The owner has everything you need for a great stay. We only ate meals out twice, everything else we were able to eat at the cabin. If staying in warm weather, you may want to bring a light blanket. The comforter on the bead is beautiful and keeps you very warm :).

  Perfect size, small but spacious. Comfortable couch and bed. Cozy fireplace. Private hot tub on deck. Clean and organized inside, they pay attention to the details. All appliances worked well. Fully equipped kitchen and they even filled the icecube trays to prepare for our arrival. Plenty of towels and toilet paper, more than other cabin rentals we have visited. The road is no joke- requires all wheel drive (or 4wd) and no low clearance vehicles. We heard a car slipping down the street trying to go uphill right outside our kitchen window one evening in good weather. Easy access to Cades Cove in GSM NP. Highly recommend this company, although it is only our first time with them. We have stayed with dozens of other cabins with other companies in the past 20 years We will likely be back to "smokycabins" again! (And the check-in/ check-out, with the digital book provided, was flawless and easy to use.)
