The best place for two
My husband and I rented Bear View in early April for five nights for a nice relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency had to leave after two days. It was the greatest place to stay! The cabin was peaceful, clean, romantic and very well equipped and we loved the early sounds of the birds while drinking hot chocolate on the porch. We can't wait to return and enjoy our unfinished getaway. The downside to the cabin is that it is on a VERY steep hill that was hard to drive up. Would be very difficult or impossible to get to in the snow or sleet.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you letting us know about your family situation and pray that it was resolved.
Bear view cabin was clean, modern, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed, plus a cozy fireplace inside and a hot tub on the front porch. The porch had a table, chairs and swing. The views of the Smoky Mountains from the cabin porch were beautiful. It's close proximity to the entrance of Smoky Mountain Natl' Park made it fast and easy to explore and hike. We were there in the beginning of April and the weather was fantastic - high 70's all 3 days we were there. I would definitely recommend staying if you are in the area. The management for the cabin was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. The only drawback for the cabin was it was a bit hard to locate and the drive up to the cabin a bit steep. We loved it!

I wish I had a whole other week
The service, although very hands off, was very helpful! Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. There was a full kitchen which was very nice and they had towels. It was just the right size for us, we didn't want anything too big so it was just what we were looking for. The king size bed was definitely a plus! So was the hot tub, we used that every day. We wished at times that we could make the hot tub warmer, that would be our only complaint. Just a warning, if you aren't okay with extremely steep hills while driving, I would think twice about going. The curves and steepness of the hill were a little extreme from our general Midwest flatness. What I liked the best was the closeness too the Smoky Mountain National Park, we did some great hikes there! and of course, the hot tub was a fave. I wished we had had a whole other week!

Thank you so much for allowing us to provide your vacation home during your stay in the Smoky Mountains. Please let us know if we can be of service to you in the future!!
Clean, Mountain view, Hot tub = the perfect getaway. I stayed there for 3 nights - it was the perfect cabin. The drive is steep, but you know that upfront - and it's totally worth the view! You are close to the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge, but far enough away that you have peace and quiet. Entrance to the park is just a few minutes away. I loved it and will go back again!

Thanks again Barb for staying at our Bear View cabin. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay!!!
The cabin was more than we expected. It was very clean and cozy, just a little hard to get to in the snow. But well worth it when we got there.

Had a great time!
We found Bear View to be all that was promised. The cabin was neat and clean, and the location was ideal. Sadly, the government shutdown destroyed our primary aim, which was to spend time experiencing the park, and especially Cades Cove, which was very near the cabin area. We decided to just relax around the cabin more, and we were not disappointed. Bear View provided a totally comfortable haven of rest, and we plan to visit there again for our original purpose. Management is great to work with, and we couldn't recommend either them or their facility more highly. We'd especially like to thank Cathy for her kindness in helping us facilitate our stay. You're the greatest, Cathy! We'll definitely be back, good L-rd willing!
